SAEF was established as a South African ArmA 3 community who want to play ArmA seriously without losing the "fun factor" while playing. Our focus is towards good cooperation and sound team work during missions, rather than strict military protocols and procedures. Saying that, we do try and keep to simple radio protocols and maneuvers where possible and leave the "horse play" for before and after missions.

There is no recruiting process, however, there is some basic information on how to get started available on our Discord or here. If there is anything you are uncertain about, give one of the Admins or Commissars a poke on Discord and they'll try and take you through it before any missions. We have no rank structure, simply turn up, get on TeamSpeak and play. This being said, Squad Leaders, Fireteam Leaders and Mission Commanders will be the privilege of active members in the community.

South Africa is a very diverse country, because of this we strive to be inclusive and allow any language and nationality. However, during missions we primarily speak English for the sake of mission cohesion and the sanity of our members. Our community's aim is to be mature and respected, so we prefer members who are 18 years of age or older, but we do allow younger players to join and they are evaluated on a individual basis.
